Wotan's Throne

North Rim, Grand Canyon National Park.
I shot this formation at the summer solstice and it took me a couple of years to get it because summer thunderstorms repeatedly blocked the sunset at the crucial moment.
On one occasion while waiting on the rim for the light I wanted, I was almost struck by lightning.
